The United States has imposed sanctions against one individual and three entities that are assisting Iran in providing financial assistance to Yemeni Houthi rebels. This information was stated in a statement by the U.S. Treasury Department, as reported by The Times of Israel.
According to the department, among those listed are the head of the Association of Currency Exchange in Sanaa (the capital of Yemen), as well as three exchange points in Yemen and Turkey.
The U.S. Treasury Department notes that the individuals mentioned above facilitated the transfer of millions of dollars to the Houthi rebels under the direction of Iranian financier Said al-Jamal, who is sanctioned by the U.S. and linked to the elite "Quds Force" of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran.
It is worth noting that the Houthi rebels have attempted to attack Israel on multiple occasions, including launching rocket attacks on the country's territory. These attacks have occurred after the start of Israel's conflict with Hamas militants.
