For almost two years, the ZEMNA collective has been working on creating a capsule collection of sculptural design objects. This is a new collection and a new chapter in the creative biography of the collective.

ZEMNA was founded in 2021 through the creative union of Tetiana Krasutska and Andrii Dobrianskyi. During this time, the collective's objects have become participants in prestigious international exhibitions, including Maison et Objet in Paris as part of the Ukrainian Design Brands project, Collectible in Brussels, and Salone Art in New York as part of an exclusive selection by Victoria Yakusha Gallery.

“These objects are inspired by the sensuous nature of the human form,” say the authors of the concept. The essence and aesthetics of the objects blur the line between design and the art of creating sculptural pieces. The sculptural forms seem to interact with the human body, enveloping it and evoking a sense of discovering one’s internal "wild" energy, inviting dialogue with oneself, nature, and the moment.

“I didn’t really think about how each object should look. They just came into being. It’s a state of awareness of the natural power hidden within every living being,” comments artist Tetiana Krasutska on the creative process.

“This almost sacred collection focuses on the power of the moment. It reminds us of the most valuable thing — the moment of presence, ‘here and now,’” adds designer Andrii Dobrianskyi.

Sensuality, monumentality, and functionality — traits that merge into the unique style of ZEMNA, are clearly conveyed in this new collection.

The new capsule includes soft chairs “Sokil” (designer: Andrii Dobrianskyi), a set of ceramic accessories/utensils “Dyka” made using plastic forming techniques (designer: Tetiana Krasutska), and tin coffee tables “Splav” (designers: Tetiana Krasutska, Andrii Dobrianskyi). These objects are inspired by a powerful past steeped in mysticism and resilience. They seem to reconnect us with our roots, creating a bridge between tradition and modernity. The lyrical names of the objects also complement the internal meaning that the designers metaphorically tried to express through the forms in their works.
