In the Luhansk region, the Russian Federation's army is intensifying attacks to reach the region's borders.

This was reported by the Third Assault Brigade on Telegram.

"The front line of the Third Assault on Kharkiv region, adjacent to Luhansk region, is today one of the enemy's most intense advance sectors. The invaders' immediate task is to reach the settlements of Chernechyna and Pershotravne, with further plans to capture Borova," the report stated.

Against the brigade's units are the 3rd and 144th divisions of the Russian 20th Army.

"The enemy is advancing with tank regiments, deploying significant artillery, additional groups of private military contractors (PMC), and special forces. They are using UAVs, drones, and chemical weapons," noted the Third Assault Brigade.

Since May, brigade fighters have eliminated 1,068 Russians and wounded 2,292 more.

The brigade mentioned that the  Russian forces throws entire platoons and companies at Ukrainian positions during assaults. Their rapid depletion is compensated by replenishing forces with 250-400 Russian soldiers weekly.

However, despite the Russia's numerical superiority and lack of reserves, the brigade has managed to hold key positions for over a month.
