On the night of Wednesday, Russian occupiers attacked the Odessa region with strike drones, resulting in injuries to three people in the Izmail district, according to the head of the district state administration.
"Russia deliberately carried out a massive drone attack with ‘Shahed’ kamikaze drones, which resulted in damage to the port infrastructure in the city of Izmail. As a result of the night attack, a residential five-story building in Izmail was hit, causing partial destruction of windows, the stairwell, and the facade of the building without subsequent fire. There are no fatalities; unfortunately, there are casualties—three people have been hospitalized," the Odesa Regional Military Administration’s Facebook post states.
Efforts are underway to address the aftermath of the attack.
Later, Odessa Regional Military Administration Head Oleh Kiper provided additional information about the victims.
"Three people sustained injuries. Two of them were hospitalized in moderate condition, while another victim received medical assistance at the scene," he wrote on his Telegram.
He also provided details about the attack’s consequences, noting that several port infrastructure buildings were damaged.
"Three cargo trucks were damaged. A fire also broke out at the scene, which was quickly extinguished by the State Emergency Service personnel," said the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.
