Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Svitlana Hrynchuk, held a meeting with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Ukraine, Mustafa Levent Bilgen.

The Deputy Minister informed the ambassador about the severe situation in Ukraine's energy system, which has been exacerbated by targeted Russian strikes on energy infrastructure.

"In the context of the energy crisis, where Russia continually attacks and systematically destroys energy infrastructure, it is crucial to conduct repairs and restore energy facilities where possible, as well as to enhance Ukraine's energy independence through the development of distributed generation. We welcome the involvement of Turkish companies in this important process," she said.

The parties discussed areas of bilateral cooperation in restoring Ukraine's energy sector, supplying necessary equipment, and engaging Turkish specialists for technical and expert support.

Svitlana Hrynchuk also emphasized the importance of implementing the Peace Formula proposed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
