Ukraine has marked its best Olympic performance in 12 years with a total of 12 medals at the 2024 Games, according to the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine. The country won 3 gold, 5 silver, and 4 bronze medals.
"Amidst fierce competition and extremely challenging times for Ukraine, the athletes secured 12 medals, including a record number of golds for the past 12 years!" the statement reads.
The committee highlighted that every performance by Ukrainian athletes was not just the result of their training but a symbol of their struggle, endurance, and resilience. They competed not only for medals but for the honor of Ukraine.
