Vladyslav Vlasiuk, Advisor and Presidential Commissioner for Sanctions Policy, met with Damien Spleeters, Director of Expeditionary Operations at a British organization Conflict Armament Research. This organization plays a leading role in investigating the chains of supply of weapons and ammunition to war zones.

Vladyslav Vlasiuk and Damien Spleeters discussed the cooperation between Ukraine and CAR in the study of Russian, Iranian and North Korean remnants of means of destruction available to Ukrainian agencies.

During the meeting, they also shared their opinions on further collaboration in investigating the ways in which components of weapons are being delivered to Russia, Iran and North Korea in circumvention of sanctions.

“We hope to continue effective cooperation between Ukraine and CAR to identify and prevent Russian efforts aimed at obtaining key components for weapons and ammunition in violation of sanctions,” Vladyslav Vlasiuk concluded.
