The Joint Stock Company 'Ukrainian Defense Industry' has signed a Memorandum of Intent to establish a joint venture with Amentum Services, Inc (USA) – one of the leading companies in global project design, project management, and solutions integration. The potential collaboration focuses on the restoration and technical servicing of American-made armored vehicles.

Previously, representatives of Amentum Services, Inc visited Ukrainian defense enterprises, assessed their capabilities, technical infrastructure, and potential. Domestic armament producers expect assistance from their new partners in obtaining technical documentation, equipment, and spare parts necessary for the repair and maintenance of US-manufactured armored vehicles.

The Memorandum was signed by Herman Smetanin, CEO of JSC Ukrainian Defense Industry, and Joe Danavey, President of Executive Operations at Amentum Services, Inc.

The event took place in the presence of Ukraine's Minister of Strategic Industries, Oleksandr Kamyshin, and the US Special Representative for Economic Reconstruction of Ukraine, Penny Pritzker.

It's worth noting that thanks to fruitful international partnerships, JSC Ukrainian Defense Industry is gradually strengthening its armored vehicle sector. On June 10 of the current year, the first joint workshop for repair and production of German armored vehicles in Ukraine was opened within the joint venture with Rheinmetall.
