Ukraine and Turkey have discussed the challenging situation in the Ukrainian energy system following the renewed mass Russian attacks, as well as the directions for cooperation between the countries to overcome the consequences of the attacks.
This was reported by the Ministry of Energy following a meeting between Minister Herman Halushchenko and Turkey's Ambassador to Ukraine Mustafa Levent Bilgen.
The sides discussed the complex situation in the Ukrainian energy system after the renewed mass Russian attacks, as well as the directions for cooperation between the countries to overcome the consequences of the attacks.
Halushchenko emphasized that the main task now is to increase the flexibility of the energy system and to expand electricity generation capacities, including the development of distributed and mobile generation capabilities.
In turn, Bilgen informed about the readiness of a number of Turkish companies to participate in relevant projects. Thus, the parties discussed the prospects for their implementation, particularly in the Kharkiv and Odessa regions.
In this context, particular emphasis was placed on cooperation in the installation of mobile power plants.
