The State Concern "UkrOboronProm" has signed a memorandum with MBDA Deutschland, which specializes in missile systems.
According to the press service of the joint-stock company, the document entails joint exploration of programs or cooperation opportunities regarding air defense systems and concepts, particularly for countering unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
Potential areas of partnership include research, development, production, investments, and more.
Collaboration with leading global defense companies not only expands Ukraine's capabilities on the battlefield but also lays a solid foundation for further development of the defense industry and contributes to its integration into NATO's defense industry.
"This agreement marks an important milestone in the relations between the defense industries of our countries. I look forward to collaborating with 'UkrOboronProm', a leading player in the European defense industry," said Thomas Gottschall, Director of MBDA Deutschland.
MBDA Deutschland develops and manufactures missile defense and air defense systems that meet current and future military needs.
The company's missile systems production, together with its 100% subsidiaries Bayern-Chemie and TDW, and various joint ventures, form the representation of MBDA in Germany.
It is a legally independent 100% subsidiary of MBDA, owned by Airbus, BAE Systems, and Leonardo.
Today, the company specializes in air defense systems. MBDA Deutschland also holds leading positions in the field of laser weapon technologies.
