Ukraine downs 108 of 123 Russian drones overnight

During the night of July 7 (starting at 6:00 p.m. on July 6), Russian forces launched an attack using 123 strike UAVs, including Shahed drones (including jet-powered variants), Gerbera, Italmas, and Parodiya decoy drones. The drones were launched from Kursk, Oryol, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Shatalovo, and Millerovo in Russia, as well as from Donetsk and Chauda in the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

The aerial assault was repelled by Ukrainian aviation, air defense missile units, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems forces, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data as of 8:30 a.m., Ukrainian air defenses shot down or suppressed 108 Russian Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types of drones over the country's north, south, center, and east.

A total of 12 strike drones hit targets at 10 locations, while debris from intercepted drones fell at five locations.
