Ukraine exported 50.4% more mollusks in January–July 2024 compared to the same period last year, totaling 704 tons.

In monetary terms, escargot exports increased by one-third to $3.6 million over the seven months of this year.
The main buyers of Ukrainian escargot during the first seven months of 2024 were Lithuania (59%), Spain (21.3%), and Poland (8%).
Mollusk imports also grew during the first seven months of 2024, increasing by 10.7% to 3,100 tons. In monetary terms, $11.2 million was spent on mollusk imports, which is 27.3% more than in January–July 2023. The largest suppliers of mollusks to the domestic market over the past seven months were China (33.3%), France (17.2%), and Chile (16.8%).
