Ukraine will compete for hosting the World Exhibition "Expo-2030" in Odessa. The official application was submitted by the Ukrainian delegation to the International Exhibitions Bureau in Paris.
In case of victory, the World Exhibition will be held in Odessa for six months, from May 1 to October 31, 2030. The theme proposed by Ukraine is: âRenaissance. Technologies. Future".
The letter signed by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmyhal was handed over by Vadim Omelchenko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to France, Boris Baum, Advisor to the Deputy Head of the President's Office, Roman Grigorishin, Director of the Department of Investment and Foreign Economic Activity of the Odessa Regional State Administration, and Vadim Dashut, co-founder of the groups of companies D-GROUP, who initiated the participation of Ukraine in the selection.
The Bureau of International Exhibitions will consider applications by the end of 2023. For the right to host Expo-2030, Ukraine will compete with South Korea, Russia and Italy.
We have a good chance to win. And this is an important historical event, because our country for the first time applied to host the World Exhibition. Such an event in Ukraine will become an engine of economic growth. Expo-2030 will improve the image of the State in the world community, will develop innovations, and will also attract a lot of investments.

Universal exhibitions or "Expo" are the most prestigious image exhibitions in the world. They are an interntional stage, where the participating countries can show the uniqueness of their cultures and national identity, their economic, scientific and technical potential.
