For the first time, Ukraine has not entered the group of the most economically unfree countries, ranking 112th out of 165 jurisdictions, according to the updated report 'Economic Freedom in the World' by the Fraser Institute, as reported by the Bendukidze Center, which is the national partner of the institute in Ukraine.

"Ukraine has exited the group of economically unfree countries for the first time. In the updated ranking, Ukraine ranked 112th out of 165 jurisdictions and moved up to the third quartile," the Bendukidze Center emphasizes.

Researchers highlight the most significant improvement in the area of government activity, particularly in matters related to transfers, subsidies, and state ownership of assets.

Additionally, there has been an improvement in the indicators of the legal system due to the ongoing judicial reform.

A positive change, albeit modest, has also been noted in the regulatory environment, especially in the regulation of credit markets (interest rate controls), regulation of entrepreneurial activity (bureaucratic costs), and competition freedom.

However, the reliability of money and international trade freedom have slightly decreased due to inflation.
