Ukraine continues to gradually increase frozen raspberry exports to the United States, which is a positive trend considering the acute need for export diversification.
According to analysts at EastFruit, the United States is the second-largest importer of frozen raspberries in the world after Germany, and prices in this market are generally higher than in the European Union market. Accordingly, shipments of frozen raspberries to the United States are profitable, even despite the currently more expensive logistics.
"It should be noted that in the first three quarters of 2023, Ukraine has already exported 84 tons of frozen raspberries to the United States. This is a relatively small volume, but it is 6 times more than last year, indicating that the first trial shipments of raspberries were successful.
Of course, Ukraine does not yet enter the top 10 raspberry suppliers to the United States, but the positive trend of increasing shipment volumes is noteworthy, while the top four leaders—Mexico, Chile, Serbia, and Canada—have significantly reduced export volumes in this period," specialists added.
