Ukraine and eight other countries have officially joined the restrictive measures adopted by the European Union against the leadership of Moldova’s Transnistrian region.
According to the EU Council press service, the statement cites EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaia Kallas.
Kallas noted that on October 27, 2025, the EU Council decided to extend sanctions against the leadership of the Transnistrian region of Moldova until October 31, 2026.
“Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway, and Ukraine align themselves with this Council Decision. ,” she said.
These countries will ensure that their national policies align with the adopted decision.
“The European Union takes note of this commitment and welcomes it,” the High Representative concluded.
