The animal husbandry sector of Ukraine has lost 10-15% of its capacity due to hostilities and occupation.
This was stated by the First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Taras Vysotsky
âLivestock products have always been produced in our country more than domestic consumption - some was exported. Therefore, this is not a critical loss for internal food security. We have enough capacity to fully provide Ukrainians with various types of meat and dairy products and eggs,â the press service of the ministry quotes him as saying.
Vysotsky admitted that the current situation is difficult for those farmers who directly suffered these losses.
âAll losses are fixed, and claims will be made for full compensation from the aggressor so that all livestock complexes can be restored,â the First Deputy Minister assured.
