On July 14, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the decision of the Ukraine-EU Association Committee on the mutual opening of the roaming sector.

According to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, this decision is part of the process of finalizing the so-called “roaming visa-free regime” — Ukraine’s accession to the Roam Like at Home policy.

It is expected that starting January 1, 2026, Ukrainians will be able to use mobile services in EU countries without additional charges, and EU citizens will enjoy the same conditions in Ukraine.

“This is part of the procedure for finalizing the roaming visa-free regime,” Shmyhal stated during the meeting.

He emphasized that this decision not only reduces costs for citizens but is also a significant step toward Ukraine’s European integration, confirming its gradual entry into the EU’s digital space.
