Ukraine has risen to seventh place in the medal standings at the Paris Paralympics

On the sixth day of the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, 50 sets of medals were awarded. Ukraine secured 10 more medals, including four golds.

Here is a summary of Ukraine's medals on the sixth day of the Paralympics:

  • Gold: Yuriy Shengur (Swimming, 100m backstroke, S7), Yulia Shulyar (Athletics, 400m run, T20), Oleksandr Yarovyi (Athletics, shot put, F20), Natalia Kobzar (Athletics, 400m run, T37)
  • Silver: Andriy Trusov (Swimming, 100m backstroke, S7), Danilo Chufarov (Swimming, 200m individual medley, SM11), Ihor Nimchenko (Swimming, 100m butterfly, S10)
  • Bronze: Oksana Boturchuk (Athletics, 400m run, T12), Maksym Koval (Athletics, shot put, F20), Olena Fedota-Isayeva (Wheelchair fencing, sabre, category B)

With these four gold medals, Ukraine moved up to seventh place in the medal standings. The Ukrainian team now has 45 medals in total—nine gold, 15 silver, and 21 bronze—making it the fifth highest medal count.

China continues to lead the medal tally with 115 medals (53 gold), followed by Great Britain with 61 medals (30 gold), and the USA with 53 medals (20 gold). Brazil is fourth with 48 medals (14 gold), France fifth with 38 medals (11 gold), and Italy sixth with 35 medals (10 gold).
