Ukraine has the capacity to produce over three million drones per year, with sufficient manufacturing capabilities and international partnerships. Anna Hvozdiyar, Deputy Minister for Strategic Industries and Production of Ukraine, shared this information during the Brave1 Precision hackathon.
“We have sufficiently large production capabilities and can produce over 3 million drones of various types today. For this, we need funding,” said Hvozdiyar.
According to her, the government can cover only part of these needs, with the rest being covered by international partners. Canada, in particular, has agreed to purchase some of the drones produced in Ukraine for the Ukrainian military. Negotiations are also ongoing with other countries, including the United Kingdom.
“We have developed sufficiently through both state and private capabilities for various types of drone products. Over one million drones means we need over one million munitions for them,” Hvozdiyar added.
Currently, the Ministry of Strategic Industries is working on a range of drones with munitions required for the Ukrainian military.
