Ukraine has become a partner country for one of the most influential global investment forums, the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, held regularly in India since 2003. As part of the summit, a Ukrainian thematic seminar titled "Ukraine-India: Investment Opportunities for a Better Future" took place.

During the seminar, Ukraine's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Yulia Svyrydenko, invited the Indian government and businesses to deepen bilateral cooperation and participate in the reconstruction of Ukraine. She emphasized the importance of mutual investments and the creation of joint ventures in Ukraine.

"We are starting to rebuild Ukraine now, not waiting for the end of the war, and we invite India, our reliable partner and the voice of the Global South, to join this reconstruction. We are interested in creating joint ventures in Ukraine, as it is an opportunity to create new jobs, generate additional revenue for the budget, and, as a result, build a more resilient economy to support our defense capabilities," noted Yulia Svyrydenko.

The Ukrainian delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Volodymyr Kuzio, who conducted a series of meetings during the visit, including with the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendra Patel, the Minister of Economic Affairs and Communications of Estonia, Tiiu RÄ«isalo, and representatives of local business circles in various sectors of the economy.

"Ukraine and India already have a long history of successful cooperation in sectors such as pharmaceuticals and metallurgy. Now we invite Indian companies to consider opportunities for investment in such areas as renewable energy, transportation, logistics, and biofuel production. These sectors will become drivers of growth for the Ukrainian economy after the war," said Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Volodymyr Kuzio.

During the forum, a speech in support of Ukraine was delivered by the specially invited guest, the Chargé d'Affaires of the EU in India, Seppo Nurmi. The EU representative mentioned the destructive consequences of Russian aggression against Ukraine and assured continued support from the EU, particularly in the context of post-war reconstruction.
