Ukrzaliznytsia has launched online ticket sales for trips to Austria, which can be purchased through the UZ app via Diia digital ID service, as well as at international ticket offices at railway stations, the Ukrzaliznytsia press service reports.
"We are now starting online ticket sales for trains traveling between Ukraine and Austria," the statement reads.
In particular, tickets for the Kyiv-Vienna route will now be available exclusively online through the Ukrzaliznytsia mobile app with account verification via Diia.Pidpis (Diia digital ID service).
Tickets for the Chop-Vienna route can be purchased online through the Ukrzaliznytsia mobile app and at international ticket offices at railway stations.
The department added that at the next stage, online tickets will also be available for trains traveling between Ukraine and Hungary, transiting through Hungary to Austria, namely Kyiv-Budapest-Vienna and Chop-Budapest-Vienna.
Meanwhile, direct connections between Ukraine and Hungary (Mukachevo-Debrecen, Mukachevo-Budapest, Chop-Zahony) will appear in the app slightly later.
In UZ, they remind about the new direct train No. 143/146 Vienna-Chop-Vienna, which has convenient connections with night trains from Kyiv, Lutsk, and Rivne, while from Chop to Vienna, it operates with comfortable sitting cars with Wi-Fi.
