Ukraine ranked 58th in the annual World Economic League Table by the British consulting firm Centre for Economics and Business Research (CEBR).

"The Ukrainian economy has shown resilience in the face of war. In 2024, annual GDP growth was estimated at 3.0%, slightly down from the 5.3% growth rate in 2023 but still positive. Nevertheless, GDP is still estimated to be 23.1% below 2019 levels, with the economy not expected to return to this level in the next five years," CEBR forecasts.

According to CEBR, Ukraine's annual GDP growth rate is expected to average 4.1% from 2025 to 2029, then slightly slow down to an average of 3.7% per year from 2030 to 2039.

CEBR predicts that Ukraine's position in the "World Economic League" will remain almost unchanged, rising from 58th place in 2024 to 57th place in 2039.

According to the current forecast, the United States is expected to remain the largest economy in the world.

Despite stimulus measures, China will not be able to surpass the United States as the largest economy in the next 15 years due to internal problems.

India is projected to rise from fifth to third place, surpassing both Japan and Germany.

Tuvalu is forecasted to have the smallest economy in the world in 2039.

The global economy is expected to double to $221 trillion over the next 15 years. The main drivers of growth will be Asian countries, including Indonesia (which may enter the top ten largest economies) and Bangladesh (which will rise from 37th to 21st place). The Philippines and Vietnam are also expected to improve their positions.
