The French company Thalès will supply Ukraine with a GM 200 radar for an air defense system. Delivery will take place in May.
Patrice Caine, CEO of the company, spoke about this in an interview with the French edition of Le Journal du Dimanche.
According to Kane, the long delivery times are due to the fact that the radar installation must be made first. Only after that will the shipment take place.
The Ground Master 200 radar is a three-coordinate medium-range radar. This self-contained unit is installed on the chassis of a truck.
The radar can be integrated into the air defense system with the SAMP / T anti-aircraft missile system, which they have already promised to transfer to Ukraine.
The detection range of air targets is up to 250 km in surveillance mode and up to 100 km in attract mode.
The complex can be deployed from traveling to a working position in 15 minutes, curling up, and leaving the place - in 10 minutes. This provides additional survivability for the radar.
