In the first half of 2024, trade turnover in agricultural goods between Ukraine and the European Union increased by $0.4 billion (+5%) compared to the same period last year, reaching $8.2 billion.
This information was reported by Mykola Pugachev, Deputy Director of the National Scientific Center Institute of Agrarian Economics and academician of the NAAS.
According to him:
"The positive trade balance remained at $4.3 billion due to simultaneous increases in both exports and imports by $0.2 billion."
The main trading partners for Ukraine in the agricultural sector within the EU are Spain, Poland, the Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Romania, and France.
"The combined turnover with these countries accounts for 77%," Pugachev noted.
