During their visit to the United States, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and First Lady Olena Zelenska visited Salt Lake City, the capital of Utah.

"It's a pleasure to be here in a state that has provided significant support to our country. Ukraine's voice should be heard everywhere," noted the President's wife.

Olena Zelenska met with the wives of U.S. governors who are members of the National Governors Association, representing all 50 states and five territories (Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands).

"It's important for me to be here today because the United States is a leader in supporting Ukraine. Your assistance today is critical to our survival as a free, democratic state. Our enemy is very strong. Putin's Russia spares no human, technical, or financial resources to destroy Ukraine," said Olena Zelenska. She informed them about recent Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities and communities, including the recent shelling of Kyiv, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, and Donetsk, which resulted in the deaths of 44 people, including five children.

The First Lady also emphasized the ways to support Ukraine, including discussing the activities of the Elena Zelenska Foundation, which with financial support from foreign patrons builds school shelters and homes for large foster families, restores damaged hospitals, and provides ambulances to medical facilities.

"For over two years now, my daily mission has been to spread information worldwide about the crimes Russia commits in my country. It's also my mission to talk about how people can help. It's crucial that every international meeting becomes a step towards understanding and support between Ukraine and the civilized world," emphasized the President's wife.
