As of 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 27, Ukraine's Air Defense Forces have shot down 36 drones launched by Russia in an overnight attack.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported this on Telegram.

Starting at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, Russian forces targeted Ukraine with 89 drones, including Shahed UAVs and unidentified types, from the directions of Oryol, Bryansk, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk. Ukrainian defenses employed aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare (EW) systems, and mobile fire groups to counter the assault.

The interceptions occurred in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, and Mykolaiv regions. Additionally, 48 drones were lost from radar, likely due to active EW measures by Ukraine’s Defense Forces. Five drones exited Ukrainian airspace, heading toward Belarus, Russia, and temporarily occupied territories.

Debris from downed drones caused damage to private and residential buildings in the Kyiv region, but no casualties or injuries have been reported.
