During the night of July 13 (from 18:00 on July 12), the Russian forces attacked Ukraine with three guided air missiles Kh-59/69 launched from the airspace over the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, as well as 134 strike UAVs, including Shahed drones (including jet-powered variants), Gerbera, Italmas, and decoy drones of the “Parody” type, launched from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo (Russia), the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk, as well as Hvardiyske and Chauda in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
The air attack was repelled by Ukrainian Air Force aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defence Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, as of 09:30, Ukraine’s air defence forces shot down or suppressed three guided air missiles Kh-59/69 and 123 UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types over the northern, southern, and eastern regions of the country.
Hits by six strike UAVs were recorded at five locations, while debris from downed drones fell at four locations.
In addition, in the morning the Russian forces launched a repeated air attack on the Odessa region. The results of the combat operations and the consequences of the attack are being clarified.
