On July 4, Ukraine and Denmark signed an agreement that allows Ukrainian defense companies to export their own production technologies. The deal was signed in Copenhagen by Ukraine’s Minister for Strategic Industries, Herman Smetanin, and Denmark’s Minister for Industry, Morten Bødskov.
Herman Smetanin called the agreement historic, stating:
“This is a unique case of international cooperation for Ukraine’s defense industry. Denmark is a true friend to the Ukrainian defense sector and a steadfast ally in the fight against the aggressor.”
A year ago, Denmark was the first country to finance weapons production by Ukrainian companies. Now, it becomes the first country to which Ukrainian arms manufacturers can export their defense technologies for production, scaling, and delivery to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
