The Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a site used for the storage, outfitting, and preparation of launches of Russian Shahed and Geran drones at Donetsk Airport.
This was announced on Telegram by the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert “Magyar” Brovdi.
According to him, “the ‘birds’ of the 1st Operations Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces carried out a massive strike on the den for storing, equipping, and preparing the launch of ‘Shahed’/‘Geran’ drones at DAP (Donetsk, temporarily occupied territory) on the night of December 30.”
The operation was developed by the intelligence unit of the 414th Separate Brigade of the Unmanned Systems Forces, “Magyar’s Birds,” in cooperation with the newly established Deep Strike Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces grouping, the commander said.
The strike targeted a drone logistics hub; a pre-flight preparation and maintenance site for Geran/Shahed and Gerbera UAVs; the central warehouse of warheads for drones; an accumulation storage facility for Gerbera UAVs; as well as a concentration point of enemy personnel and technical staff responsible for preparation and pre-launch technical servicing of UAVs.
