The heatwave from the western Mediterranean, which brought abnormally high temperatures to Ukraine in recent days, has also brought dust from the Sahara.
This was reported on Monday, April 1, by the Ukrhydrometcenter on Facebook.
As meteorologists note, this is clearly visible on satellite imagery from the EUMETSAT platform.
"Residents of the western region could observe this yesterday, and today it will spread to most regions of Ukraine. The sky will be cloudy," the message said.
The Ukrhydrometcenter warned of the need to close windows, as the dust can be harmful to people with respiratory illnesses, the elderly, and children.
