Oleksandr Tkachenko, the Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine (MCIP), reported the results of his visit to France with Ukraine’s First Lady Olena Zelenska.

We have a fairly good understanding from our French colleagues. We discussed the need to organize an international security information forum, within which experts will be able to discuss a variety of issues related to the fight against Russian propaganda and information security in general. I really hope it happens soon. After all, we see from the research of our European colleagues that Russian narratives continue to spread. It is the French who are ready to act as leaders regarding the issue of information security.

During the visit of the Ukrainian Minister to France together with Ukraine’s First Lady Olena Zelenska, a memorandum on cooperation, between the Louvre, MCIP and the Embassy of Ukraine in France was signed. As a result, visitors to the Louvre will be able to explore the largest museum in the world with the help of Ukrainian-language audio guides. The document also includes an item on expanding cooperation and multi-level partnership projects with museums of Ukraine. They will include programs of scientific analysis, an organization of a temporary exhibition in the Louvre and a publication of a scientific study devoted to Ukrainian art.

“We agreed on cooperation regarding the organisation of an exhibition in the Louvre, and also presented a rather ambitious project of 7 Ukrainian museums "Ukraine. Out of blackout". This is an exhibition of the millennium of Ukrainian heritage at the world's leading venues. I really hope that this issue will be resolved by next year, in particular, within the framework of the seasons of Ukrainian culture in France, which we are tentatively planning for September 2023,” said the Minister.

In Paris, Oleksandr Tkachenko also met with Audrey Azoulay, Director-General of UNESCO. The Minister said: “UNESCO is coordinating assistance in the supply of necessary materials for Ukrainian institutions that were affected by the war, in particular, it is about the supply of generators. They have already started arriving from Canada, Latvia, Poland. It is very important that UNESCO helps coordinate these efforts from institution to institution. In addition, a grant from Japan in the amount of EUR 4 million to help Sophia of Kyiv was announced.”
