The new infantry rocket flamethrower, developed by specialists from a defense industry institution, is a portable weapon designed to target enemy fire positions, lightly armored and automotive enemy vehicles, as well as enemy personnel behind cover, obstacles, or in open areas.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the flamethrower is equipped with a rocket grenade containing a specialized thermobaric mixture. The explosive power of this grenade is equivalent to that of a large-caliber artillery shell. Upon detonation, it creates a fireball with a volume of about fifteen cubic meters and generates a high-pressure area. The burning temperature reaches nearly 2,500 degrees Celsius, and the danger to enemy personnel extends over fifty meters from the explosion's epicenter.

The flamethrower is particularly effective during urban assaults, where it can be used in areas with substantial buildings and deep shelters. For example, an enemy hiding in a brick house would have no chance of survival if the flamethrower's projectile detonates inside.

The codified and officially listed weapon system can now be procured using state budget funds and deployed in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as noted by the Ministry of Defense.
