Ukrainian full-cycle software development company TechMagic has acquired the Polish company Hitteps, a consulting partner of Salesforce.

“This step strengthens our position in Salesforce consulting – Hitteps brings in a focused team with deep expertise in B2B Commerce, integrations, and cloud solutions. A great match with our own expertise and approach,” TechMagic commented on the acquisition.

The company emphasized that acquiring Hitteps will expand TechMagic’s brand presence in Europe and create new jobs in both Ukraine and Poland, enabling TechMagic to serve a broader range of industries.

“The reason is the same — Salesforce specialists are a narrow-profile talent pool; finding and hiring them is time-consuming and costly,” said Lidiya Dats, co-founder and Head of HR at TechMagic, in an interview with Scroll.media. To save time, the company was ready for mergers and acquisitions (M&A).

In 2022, TechMagic acquired Kyiv-based Dynamo Development to strengthen its presence in the U.S. market.

TechMagic had initially aimed to acquire a startup in the UK but was unable to find a company of suitable scale and acceptable terms. However, thanks to support from the M&A office of the Lviv IT Cluster, they connected with a promising company in Poland, noted TechMagic’s co-founder and CTO, Andriy Kuzmych.

Former Hitteps teams in Warsaw and Krakow will focus on serving local clients and will operate as a separate delivery unit. The current management will remain in place.

Although acquisition and integration of European companies by Ukrainian IT businesses are still relatively uncommon, this deal is not an isolated example.
