"Ukrgazvydobuvannya" has announced the launch of 5 more wells with an additional daily gas production of 500 thousand cubic meters - 4 out of 5 wells are drilled in "old" fields aged 45-55 years, and one is completely new. This information was reported by Naftogaz's press service.
"To achieve our production growth goals, we combine the use of modern technologies to open up new deposits in depleted fields and increase investments in research and development of new areas," said Oleg Tolmachev, Acting CEO of Ukrgazvydobuvannya.
Thanks to these approaches, gas production has increased by 35% in the last two years in one of the mentioned "old" fields and by almost 50% in another.
The remaining fields, revitalized through the use of modern technologies, show stabilized performance and the potential for further production growth.
It's worth noting that Ukrgazvydobuvannya has put 58 new gas wells into operation since the beginning of the year, with a combined average daily gas output of 5.3 million cubic meters
