"Ukrzaliznytsia" will create a unit that will monitor and protect railway infrastructure using drones.
"Drones will be used to combat property theft from Ukrzaliznytsia at stations and sections, document legal violations, detect fuel theft from locomotives, inspect infrastructure during a state of war, and participate in investigating transportation accidents," the company's website states.
The first step will be the creation of a test unit. Based on this, a network is planned to be established to ensure the efficiency of railway operations in the future.
The unit will include veterans who worked in the railway industry, sustained injuries, and returned from the front. Special courses will be provided for employees, teaching them to operate, assemble, and service drones.
