According to a representative from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Russia will need at least one to two years to restore the number of infantry and weapons it had at the beginning of the large-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

In an interview with RBK-Ukraine, Vadym Skibitskyi stated,

"According to our calculations, to restore the potential of the Russian ground forces that existed before the start of the large-scale aggression, it will take them from five to ten years. To restore the arsenal of precision weapons – it will also take three to five years."

Skibitskyi emphasized Ukraine's role in preventing the Russian military machine from preparing and initiating aggression not only against Ukraine but also against other countries. He assured that Western assistance, including weaponry, military equipment, training, and other resources to enhance Ukrainian capabilities, will continue.

"The help will be diverse – weaponry, military equipment, training, and other resources to enhance our capabilities so that we can defend our state and liberate the territories currently temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation," he added.

Skibitskyi underscored that Ukraine's allies and partners understand the challenges of waging war against Russia without their assistance. He mentioned that the high-precision weapons currently possessed by Ukraine are from Western production.

He reassured that the support from the West is crucial in restraining Russia, and the country has significantly reduced Russia's potential, preventing it from achieving its goals.
