The U.S. Congress must promptly approve the White House's request for aid to Ukraine to prevent serious consequences for its defense, said Jake Sullivan, the U.S. National Security Advisor, during a briefing.

According to him, the lack of funding from the United States has already affected Ukraine's ability to defend itself against a full-scale Russian invasion.

"With each passing week, our ability to fully fund what we believe is necessary to provide Ukraine with the tools and capabilities it needs to defend its territory and continue advancing forward becomes more and more difficult. Therefore, the window for us is closing," Sullivan noted.

He emphasized that while the U.S. can still provide military assistance requested by Ukraine, full funding will ensure the consistency and effectiveness of this support.

"It is already impacting our ability to provide Ukraine with everything it needs, and over time, this impact will only intensify," concluded the White House representative.

As known, U.S. President Joe Biden is seeking to persuade the U.S. Congress to support aid to both Ukraine and Israel and approve a new $106 billion aid package, including over $61 billion in assistance to Ukraine.
