Chief Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valeriy Zaluzhny, during a conversation with the Chief of the Defence Staff of the Kingdom of Denmark, General Flemming Lentfer, has confirmed the initiation of flight training for pilots on F-16 aircraft. The entire preparatory phase of the activities has been completed.
General Valeriy Zaluzhny announced this information on Telegram.
"The focus is on the training of Ukrainian pilots and engineers on the F-16, which is ongoing in Denmark. General Lentfer reported that a portion of our pilots has successfully completed the preparatory activities and is ready to commence flight training," Zaluzhny stated.
The training of Ukrainian pilots and engineers on the F-16 is already underway in Denmark. General Lentfer emphasized that some of the Ukrainian pilots have already completed the preparatory activities successfully and are now ready to begin flight training.
Valeriy Zaluzhny, along with the Danish representatives, is initiating work on the logistics aspect. This will ensure the servicing and maintenance of the F-16 fighter jets in Ukraine. General Zaluzhny expressed gratitude to all the Danes and their government for the decision to transfer 19 F-16 aircraft to Ukraine.
