The Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, occupied by Russian forces, remains on a single power line due to the blackout of the 330 kV high-voltage power line in Zaporizhzhia region as a result of hostilities, reported the Ministry of Energy.
According to its daily update in the Telegram channel on Wednesday, aerial lines were also damaged in Chernihiv region due to shelling by Russians, where nearly 200 consumers in two settlements were simultaneously disconnected.
Overall, there is no deficit in the energy system, states the Ministry of Energy. According to their data, there are seven blocks of thermal power plants in reserve, which will be activated if necessary.
At the same time, it is reported that deliberate damage to the oil pipeline of "Ukrtransnafta" was discovered during inspection in Lviv region - a spool was welded to the pipe.
As reported, since the occupation on March 4, 2022, the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant has repeatedly remained on a single power line (out of four main ones available before the war) or completely switched to electricity from diesel generators when the last of the lines, including the reserve one, was damaged.
