Due to Russian shelling, one of the two power transmission lines supplying the occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) has been damaged again.
This was reported by the Ministry of Energy on Telegram.
"As a result of Russian shelling, one of the two power lines supplying the occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant has been de-energized. Currently, the plant is connected to Ukraine’s energy system by only one transmission line," the statement reads.
It is noted that energy workers will begin repairs as soon as the security situation allows.
The international environmental NGO Greenpeace called on the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to prevent Russia from attempting to restart operations at the occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.
