President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived at the European Political Community summit in Budapest.
Zelensky arrived on Thursday, November 7. Before his arrival, Latvian Prime Minister Evika Siliņa commented on the event to journalists – she was the first person he met.
During the event, European leaders will discuss the results of the U.S. elections and try to formulate their initial response to the prospect of a second presidential term for Donald Trump.
Several officials have already made statements ahead of the event. Specifically, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced that he intends to have a detailed discussion with European leaders and future U.S. President Donald Trump about the response to the deepening cooperation between Russia, North Korea, Iran, and China.
