Ukraine is proposing to host a non-nuclear deterrence package against Russia on its territory. This aims to compel Russia to engage in peace negotiations and to protect against future aggression.

President Volodymyr Zelensky made this statement during his address at the European Council.

He presented a victory plan for Ukraine in the war, with the third point focusing on "non-nuclear deterrence" of Russia.

Ukraine's proposal includes placing the deterrence package on its territory to force Russia into peace talks or allow for the destruction of its military assets.

Zelensky described this approach as "Peace through strength," referring to the relevant missile system.

"We have provided all the details to our partners who can make this happen: the USA, the UK, France, Italy, and Germany. Putin must respect our strength, not make the free world tremble with his threats," the president emphasized.
