Employers have posted the highest number of job vacancies on Work.ua since the start of the large-scale war — 115,482 offers. This is reported by Work.ua.

In the last month of summer, employers began preparing for an active search for specialists and posted a record number of vacancies on Work.ua since the start of the large-scale war — 115,482 vacancies. Compared to July 2024, this is a 3% increase.

It is noted that in August, the most job opportunities were for educators and creative professionals.

The increase in job offers occurred in almost all regions traditionally in the top five: Kyiv region (+3%), Lviv region (+7%), and Odessa region (+3%). The increase in vacancies also touched Kharkiv region (+4%), which managed to return to its place in the top five, pushing Ivano-Frankivsk region out.

At the same time, there was an increase in job opportunities in Zakarpattia (+10%), Zhytomyr (+9%), Rivne (+8%), and Vinnytsia (+8%) regions. However, the Dnipropetrovsk region saw no increase in vacancies.

In leading categories for job numbers, the following trends are observed:

  • Significant growth in the category “Hospitality, Tourism” (11,137, +7%), which had seen a decline last month. There is also growth in the category “Medicine, Pharmacy” (8,196, +6%).
  • Moderate growth in the categories “Service Sector” (20,497, +4% from July), “Labor Specialties, Production” (19,932 vacancies, +4%), “Retail” (13,979, +3%), “Logistics, Warehousing, Foreign Economic Activity” (11,790, +3%), “Administration, Middle Management” (10,153, +2%), “Accounting, Auditing” (7,563, +1%).
  • Slight decrease in vacancies in the categories “Sales, Procurement” (13,418, -1%) and “Transport, Auto Business” (9,014, -1%).
  • The largest increase in job opportunities was in the categories “Education, Science” (5,640, +27%) and “Culture, Music, Entertainment” (778, +23%).
  • Another job offer category is reservation-based vacancies. In June, employers posted 6,642 such job offers, which is 16% more compared to July.

The largest salary increases are where there is the least competition among job seekers. The average salary in the labor market continues to rise. In August, it increased by +2.4% to 21,500 UAH.

The highest salary increase in August occurred in the category “Transport, Auto Business” (+5% from July, 30,000 UAH), which also ranks among the least competitive categories for job seekers. This likely indicates employers are trying to compete for candidates.

Average salaries also increased in the following categories:

  • “Telecommunications and Connection” — 24,000 UAH, +4% from July;
  • “Finance, Banking” — 19,000 UAH, +3%;
  • “Design, Creativity” — 22,500 UAH, +3%;
  • “Secretariat, Clerical, Administrative Services” — 19,000 UAH, +3%;
  • “Law” — 20,500 UAH, +2%;
  • “Medicine, Pharmacy” — 21,500 UAH, +2%.

It is also reported that in August, 44% of responses were sent by women and 56% by men. The share of women has again increased.
