At the Munich Security Conference, the main issue for everyone, including the U.S. delegation, will be Russia’s war against Ukraine.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated this in an interview with SiriusXM Patriot.
"People from all – leaders from all over the world go that conference. But the top of mind for everyone is going to be war in Ukraine, and the President has been very clear. President Trump has been clear that the war in Ukraine needs to end," Rubio said.
He emphasized that Trump intends to push forward efforts to end the war in Ukraine.
"It’d be in the interest of everybody for that war to end, and so obviously we’ll be discussing that with foreign ministers and other leaders there," the U.S. Secretary of State added.
According to him, another key topic at the Munich Conference will be possibilities for conflict resolution in the Middle East.
This year, the Munich Security Conference will take place from February 14 to 16, with around 60 countries, 150 ministers, and leaders of international organizations expected to attend.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will also participate in the event.
