In just five days of intense assaults on Avdiivka in Donetsk region, the Russians suffered colossal losses in equipment and manpower.

The newly mobilized troops are being thrown into the 'meat grinder' once again. This was revealed by the spokesperson for the United Press Center of the Tavriya Defense Forces, Alexander Shtupun, during a live broadcast. He emphasized the strategic importance of Avdiivka for the occupiers, as they need to demonstrate some semblance of victory.

'For four consecutive days now, the enemy's losses have been mounting. They've lost over three hundred pieces of military equipment and more than three thousand personnel. All this in less than five days. That's why the enemy is resorting to targeting the civilian population,' he stated.

Shtupun pointed out that the occupiers' tactics in Avdiivka resemble the actions of Russians in Bakhmut. Initially, the enemy deployed a significant amount of military equipment for the assault, and where the vehicles couldn't advance, infantry followed.

"We've destroyed a lot of their equipment, so now the enemy continues to push forward with infantry. These can also be termed 'meat grinder assaults,'" the spokesperson explained.

He added that among the Russians, there are many newly mobilized soldiers who are unfamiliar with the local terrain. However, there are already reports of cases where they refuse to advance in the assault.

Russians are attempting to encircle the city of Avdiivka in the Donetsk region and are deploying more forces to achieve their objectives. In recent days, enemy assaults in the area have intensified. On the Avdiivka front, the Russians pursue several goals, one of which is to reach the administrative borders of the Donetsk region. Avdiivka is only of military importance to the Russians because it serves as a "sufficiently strong defensive line."
