The missile cruiser "Moscow" was anchored in Sevastopol Bay.
On Wednesday, April 13, a fire broke out on the Russian missile cruiser "Moscow" of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
This information, which was spread on social networks, was confirmed by Aleksiy Arestovich, an adviser to the OPU chairman, in an interview with human rights activist Mark Feygin.
"There was a surprise with the flagship of the navy cruiser "Moscow". There are 510 crew members, we can't understand what happened - whether two sailors smoked in the wrong place or violated some security measures once again, it's unlucky," he said.
Earlier, the cause of an intense fire on the cruiser was called accurate shots of the Ukrainian anti-ship complex "Neptune". According to former People's Deputy Serhiy Vysotsky, two Ukrainian missiles were aimed at the Moscow missile cruiser, part of the 30th division of surface ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
"It has been confirmed to me that two missiles of the Ukrainian anti-ship complex" Neptune "have defeated the flagship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet cruiser" Moscow "! Two hits out of two! The entire Russian Black Sea Fleet has been withdrawn for emergency rescue operations!" - wrote Serhiy Vysotsky.
MP Irina Frieze added that the missile cruiser "Moscow", which was anchored in Sevastopol Bay, disappeared from radar. As the storm rages at sea, the rescue operation of a warship is complicated. It will probably have to be flooded.
The Russian Wikipedia article about the "Moscow" missile cruiser, built-in 1976, has already published information about its impressions of Ukrainian missiles.
There is no official information that Ukrainian missiles caused the fire on the Russian warship.
It is known that this Russian cruiser has artillery, anti-aircraft, anti-submarine and mine-torpedo weapons. It is also equipped with 16 launchers of anti-ship missiles P-1000 "Vulcan", with a range of up to 1000 km, and one Ka-27 helicopter.
