Most of the surveyed Finns do not believe that relations with Russia will improve in the coming decade.

This follows from a survey commissioned by the Municipal Development Fund, Yle TV and radio reports.

In particular, 75% of respondents do not believe that relations with Russia will improve over the next ten years.

Confidence in achieving climate goals is also weakening. More than half of the respondents believe that Finland's carbon neutrality goals will not be met and that the loss of biodiversity will not be stopped.

According to the survey, most of the country's residents are also skeptical that the growth of the national debt will stop and that citizens' trust in politics will strengthen. More than half of the respondents are also not sure that social and medical services will be provided to a sufficient extent.

The survey examined citizens' assessments of how different visions of the future will be realized during the current decade.

More than 1,000 people aged 18-79 took part in the survey conducted by Kantar TNS in early June.
