The Russian army in southern Ukraine last week cautiously utilized tactical aviation but continues drone attacks.

This was reported by the head of the joint press center of the Operational Command "South," Natalia Humenyuk, during the TV telethon.

"Last week was challenging, although the overall tension was somewhat lower than in the previous week. The decrease in the enemy's tactical aviation activity is mainly due to weather conditions and the lessons learned from the strikes they faced at the end of last year and the beginning of this year," said Humenyuk.

According to her, the enemy, in search of new launch positions, cautiously uses tactical aviation, trying to use it less frequently.

At the same time, Humenyuk noted that last week the Russian forces continued to use various modifications of drones, dropping about 40 units of explosive ordnance.

"In other words, the enemy is seeking alternative methods in case the use of artillery is not possible," she pointed out.

The intensity of enemy assaults last week, according to Humenyuk, was quite powerful.

"Trying to dislodge us from the positions on the left bank of the Dnipro, the enemy intensified the use of assaults - from 1-2 to 10+ during the day. This was also associated with personnel rotation and weather difficulties," she added.
