The Danube Floods Biological Exposition Reserve
The Danube Floods Biological Exposition Reserve will appear in the Odessa Region. The project will be part of a national network of innovative eco-clusters. Its goal is to preserve wildlife populations and adapt them after living on the streets and in harsh conditions.
In addition, the ecopark will create an infrastructure for psychosocial recreation of visitors and of people with lung diseases.
The Odessa Regional State Administration will help the organizers to build the project. The head of the regional state administration Maksym Kutsyi has already signed a memorandum of cooperation with the director of Feldman Ecopark Vitalii Ilchenko.
This is a unique opportunity for Odessa to become an example of the implementation of global trends in environmental protection. Today's landmark event will be the first step to expand the buffer green zone of our region by 100 hectares and preserve the biological diversity of our region
Maksym Kutsiy
According to preliminary information, the total investment in the project is about $ 15 million. A similar ecopark has already been created in Kharkiv region.
Up to 2.7 million tourists visit it every year.
In seven years, we have rescued and rehabilitated 20,000 wild and domestic animals. We have created 42 free rehabilitation programs for ATO / OOS soldiers, children with disabilities and children from socially vulnerable groups
said Vitalii Ilchenko, director of Feldman Ecopark.
Note that the ecopark in the Odessa region will be created on the basis of the experience of the French Réserve Biologique Des Monts Dâazur and the American Wildlife Images Rehabilitation And Education Center.
